Born in the heart of Napa Valley, Por Suerte creates gourmet, handcrafted fortune cookies designed to make every moment more memorable. From weddings and corporate events to thoughtful gifts, each cookie is made with premium ingredients, inventive flavors, and personalized messages - turning a simple treat into an experience.
Por Suerte is the only place where you’ll find both sweet and savory fortune cookies - redefining what a fortune cookie can be.
But Por Suerte started long before Napa. It began with a wedding.
When my good friend Kate asked guests to bring cookies for her wedding dessert table, I knew I didn’t want to show up with something ordinary. I wanted to create something people would remember - something interactive, personal, and a little unexpected. That’s when I made my first batch of custom fortune cookies.
What started as a one-time idea quickly became a tradition. I began making them for friends, celebrations, and special moments - each batch more creative than the last. After moving to Napa to attend culinary school, everything shifted. While living in a local winemaker’s guest house, I was making a batch one day when he tried them, immediately ordered cookies for his winery, and encouraged me to turn this into something bigger.
And just like that, Por Suerte was born.

At the core of it all is a love for creativity and experimentation. I’m constantly exploring new flavor combinations - from nostalgic and playful to bold and unexpected - so every collection feels fresh, exciting, and a little bit surprising.
I’m also committed to doing things thoughtfully. Our packaging is fully compostable, because we believe celebrating life’s special moments shouldn’t come at the expense of the environment.
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, I’ve always been inspired by the Island’s warmth, hospitality, and sense of celebration. Por Suerte - meaning “luckily” in Spanish - is a reflection of that spirit.
We feel lucky to be part of your most meaningful moments, and we don’t take that lightly. Whether you’re planning an event or simply treating yourself, we’re here to make every bite - and every fortune - something special.
